Discovering Liverpool

Hi, everyone!

Ending my super long week with a relaxing bath, hot drink and listening to a mix of The Fray, Coldplay and Snow Patrol whilst I type up this post.

A few months ago, I had visited Liverpool for work purposes. I spent the day meeting with clients and jotting down notes in a lovely little coffee shop I had stumbled upon.
It was this same day when I had realised how beautiful Liverpool really was. Perhaps it is true what they say- we only notice our surroundings and realise how beautiful they are when we're in a good mood, and boy was I in a good mood that day.

Just a few quick images snapped from my iPhone 5S so apologies if the quality isn't amazing, but how cute is this little coffee shop set up? It was just so cozy and homely; I didn't want to leave but work was calling so I had no choice. Hopefully one day, I will find the time to re-visit this place! The police woman wasn't lying when she told me how good the coffee was- thanks for the recommendation!

In fact, she wasn't the only helpful person that day. The people of Liverpool all seem so friendly (well, the ones I had crossed paths with anyway). From recommending me places to giving me directions and even helping me take pictures in front of pretty buildings (haha definitely a Tourist thing to do!).

So after I had finished my tasks, I spent the rest of the day alone wandering aimlessly (and in awe) around this somewhat familiar- yet brand new city. Here are more images I had taken:

Why have I never done one of these?! To do list...
OOTD- Playsuit: Ark
Jacket: Topshop
Boots: New Look
Bag: ASOS
Scarf: Dorothy Perkins

Remember I said I was walking around alone? I was... but I met some really nice people along the way. This lovely lady here had stopped me to ask for a favour. "May you take a picture of me and my husband, please?". And I did just as she asked. I don't think anyone has complimented my "photography" as much as this couple since I had taken a few for them (at different angles) for them to choose from. I found out they were visitors also, hence the tourist pictures, and coincidentally live in Leeds (where I had studied). Before I knew it, this lady was asking her husband to take a picture of us two together- why not, right?

Even at the train station, I was having random conversations with strangers who I had just met whilst figuring out where to go/ which train to take/ when to hop off to change etc. I guess I don't have any problems with talking to/ smiling at people who I don't know. I mean, we're all human; what's there to be afraid of?

Such a nice day at the docks, and Liverpool in general. Perhaps I will visit again once the weather brightens up a little.
Happy Friday, everyone. Hope you all have a great weekend!!!

Keep smiling, keep inspiring.
Love L x.
