Miller and Carter, Wilmslow

Hi, everyone!

It was my first time visiting Miller and Carter in Wilmslow with my boyfriend on Friday.
Anybody who knows us well will know how much we love the steak here. Whether we are celebrating an occasion or just fancy a cheeky treat, Miller and Carter will always be our first choice!

Upon arrival, we had to wait a while before we were greeted and taken to our seats.
From their daytime menu, we ordered:
- Steak Frites
- British Steak Burger
I was contemplating between the Steak Frites or Sea Bass Fillet, but no regrets! For the price of £9.95, I must admit that the steak was sooo good; and definitely satisfied my craving! The British Steak Burger wasn't bad either. Perhaps a little dry for my liking, but Tom seemed to have enjoyed it. The fries were cooked perfectly too- so good that I wouldn't allow Tom to steal any of mine after he had finished his (hahaha!).

The food was delicious, as usual. But the service (or should I say lack of?) in Wilmslow does not even come close to the service in Manchester or Leeds. We had to chase them up for our food and then for the bill. It just wasn't as organised, and despite them having more than enough staff, they gave the impression that they did not seem to care for their customers (well, the ones that were seated upstairs anyway). It probably did not help that we were tight on time that day.
Safe to say that we did not leave any tips which is unusual for us.

To conclude, I would recommend their lunch menu just as much as I would recommend their main. However, I will probably avoid the Miller and Carter in Wilmslow in future given the choice.
Hats off to whoever can figure out where we will be going for Valentines Day... Yup, you guessed it, Miller and Carter in Manchester.
If I had to recommend just one dish, it would have to be their famous sirlon steak- cooked medium rare. Mmmm... I'm drooling just thinking about it. Their barbeque ribs are pretty good also for those who fancy something different.

Where is your favourite restaurant to eat? Any recommendations for other steak restaurants? I have probably tried the majority already, but would love to try new places.

Happy Thursday!

Keep smiling, keep inspiring.
Love L x.

    1. :O 50% off!!! No wonder I always see you uploading TGIF's pics!
I would say that M&C are more reasonably priced in comparison to some other steak houses though. The lunch menu was less than £20 for us both! (But that's only because we didn't have time for dessert) lol
For dinner, we can spend around £45/ £50 which is kinda pricey but okay for a nice treat every once in a while ^^
